2014

CIDI was formed in August as a response to the atrocities of IS and rising Islamophobia in the U.S.

September - Project CIDI Bridges begins. We observed over 30 places of worship, prayer, or meditation.

December - Faith Talk Show kicks off at the Rochester Public Library.

2015

January - Regina Mustafa was awarded the Champion of Justice Award from the Diversity Council of Rochester.

December - Regina Mustafa was awarded The Bridge Builder Award from the local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

2016

April - Regina Mustafa, Dawn Sanborn, and Pam Whitfield were awarded the StartUp Grant for the Arts by the Rochester Downtown Alliance.

May - CIDI raised over $5,500 for NuDay Syria to help with the internally displaced refugees in Syria.

November - Regina Mustafa was awarded the Rising Champion of Justice Award by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MN).

December - Regina Mustafa received the Mayor's Medial of Honor from Ardell Brede, Mayor of Rochester.

2017

March - Being a Muslim: A Practical Guide debuts at the Rochester Art Center.

May - Hijab for a Day documentary and live performance at the Rochester Civic Theater, made possible by the Rochester Downtown Alliance StArtup Grant for the Arts.

2018

June - #USTOO multi-media/live performance event at the Rochester Civic Theater, made possible by the Rochester Downtown Alliance StArtup Grant for the Arts.

2019

March - Final Faith Talk Show episode

May - CIDI announces launch of Rahma, providing emergency financial assistance and support to area single mothers.

June - CIDI launches the first session of Crossroads: Confronting the Stigma of Addiction

Our Vision is to unite communities for a more inclusive and welcoming society.


Mission: To build interfaith understanding through dialogue, advocacy, and community engagement.

Community Interfaith Dialogue on Islam (CIDI) was formed in 2014. Its goal is to foster interfaith understanding through active community engagement and education. CIDI also  serves the Muslim community in Southern Minnesota with financial resources, education, and leadership opportunities.

CIDI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
